Since we posted out last update regarding our trip to the US, God has provided us a car free of charge! A missionary family based out of Illinois contacted us to say that they no longer need their ’95 Toyota Camry since they are moving to Japan. As it stands right now, we will be picking up the car when we come through Chicago on our way down to DFW.

Yes, as many of you have heard, our family will soon be making a trip to the United States. We will be leaving Lviv on August 26, arriving in DFW the same day. While we don’t have an exact return date, we expect to be back in Ukraine by mid-May, in time for the start of CMO 2010. God is continuing to bless our English Club and Audio Bible Study meetings! Each week people are coming to hear the Word of God. By way of reminder, we hold English Club for the first hour of the evening, follow that with a 5 minute break, and then begin Bible teaching/preaching in Ukrainian for the second hour. The evening ends with tea, snacks, and fellowship.

Thus I was quite surprised when we saw the priest from Khashchovanya present at our showing along with his children! He viewed the entire film, and listened without objection to my Gospel presentation at the end.

“Nikki” is what we have affectionately dubbed our Nikon D40 camera. Every Tuesday, she goes with us to English Club and Bible study to help document the evening’s events. The following are a few of her shots from recent weeks.

For the past few weeks at ABS, we’ve been teaching through the first two chapters of Romans. Since his opening statement in Romans 1:18, Paul has built an air-tight case against the ungodly. Furthermore, having drawn us into a position of judgment, he has shown that we who consider ourselves to be “better than the wicked” are in fact just as guilty, condemned by our own mouths.
